Denver by Morning!

So we left St. Louis late afternoon on Saturday and rolled out with a purpose to make it across Kansas without dying of boredom.  It's about a 5 or 6  hour drive straight across the state and there is absolutely nothing to look at once you're past Wichita....0r Topeka I forget.  The 32-gallon gas tank came in handy as there are huge spans of interstate where there are no service stations or even exits.  We made Denver by 0530 mountain time and slept in the truck for an hour while we waited for Greg's friend Rudi to wake up and get ready for work.  She graciously let us in about 0630: two scruffy smelly guys wearing wrinkled two day old clothes and clutching our pillows in hand on her doorstep.  We crashed out for a few hours and now we are getting showers and readying for a ride around the city.  Rudi is taking off early and we're going to meet her for a bike and bar tour of Denver.  Weather is sunny and low 80's.  Perfect.
